Accessibility
The NCP pays great attention to the user-friendliness, accessibility and findability of online information. Everyone should be able to find, view and use the NCP’s website.
What do we mean by accessible website?
An accessible website is easy for everyone to use. From visitors with a smartphone to visitors using a braille display.
How does the NCP ensure that the website will remain accessible?
We ensure good accessibility by:
- If we create new content on this website, we ensure that this immediately complies with the accessibility guidelines.
- We investigate how users use the website. If we encounter problems, we try to solve these as soon as possible. We have our websites checked by an independent research institute. Does the institute come across parts on the website that are not sufficiently accessible? Then we will resolve this as soon as possible.
- The latest accessibility study (only in Dutch) (pdf, 1 MB)was carried out by an independent agency in April 2022. This study shows that not all pages yet comply with the Directive. The Dutch government calls this status B. At the moment we are working on solving the imperfections.
- Our employees are trained to create accessible websites and texts.
What accessibility requirements does the NCP website meet?
Our website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1, Level AA. The WCAG 2.1 Directive contains guidelines for quality and accessibility of websites.
